The Reel Busy Fishing Charters is a family friendly charter boat with Captain Steve Keifer. Captain Steve is a U.S.C.G. licensed 50 ton captain who is a local North Carolinian and fishermen for over 30 years. He knows the joy of taking kids fishing as well as adults. We strive to put safety first and make sure you and your crew have a very enjoyable adventure. We fish a 22 foot Tidewater bay boat that is a dry safe ride, powered with a new Yamaha 150 to get us to the local fishing holes of Oak Island, Southport, Bald Head Island, and other rivers as well as the ICW. We are always looking forward to making your fishing trip a memory of a lifetime.

Capt Steve will guide you through the many bodies of water around the Oak Island area, including the Southport, Oak Island, Lockwood Folly River, and Cape Fear River, and throughout the Intracoastal Waterway. On these custom charters, expect to fish year-round catches, including Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, and Sheepshead. While nearshore, we fish for Flounder, Drum, Spanish, Blues, King Mackerel and Shark.
