This Friday, August 20th, get your groove on with Rivermist as the the 2021 Oak Island Free Concert Series continues!
Rivermist was formed in July 2014 in Fayetteville, NC. The band is collaboration of musicians that have been playing in and around the Fayetteville area for more than 40 years.
Rivermist’s love of audience appeal, along with the desire to preserve a genre of music familiar to their roots, is what sparked the formation of the group.
“RIVERMIST” is primarily a Variety / Party band, playing the best music from 70s-2000s eras and in all genres. They were voted 2016 Best Local Band by “Fayetteville Observer’s Reader’s Choice.” Also, they have been voted Fayetteville/ Ft Bragg’s 2017 Best Local Band, 2018 Best Local Band, and even more recently, 2019 Best Local Band by “Up & Coming Magazine.”
They now have released their own music, featuring “Beach life” as high as 17 on beach charts. Their shows are relaxed; however intensively performed as only professionally driven musicians will give.
They realize success will always be judged by their fans. Rivermist’ harmonies, as well as the musicianship, is something that needs to be experienced. The shows are also energetic, so booking Rivermist at your venue is a great choice, and will de?nitely make it a more exciting event!
The sun is out, the fun is back, and the “Bands by the Beach” are once again ready to rock, groove, swing and swoon their way through the soundtrack of your perfect summer! For 16 weeks on Fridays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Middleton Park Ampitheater, we turn the amps up to “11” and come together for the annual Town of Oak Island Summer Concert Series.
