The Christmas By The Sea Parade is annually held on the first Saturday in December RAIN OR SHINE!! This event runs right through the heart of Town along East Oak Island Drive, and boasts some of the largest crowds outside of the Town’s founding celebration, Beach Day.
The parade joins in a series of events that lasts the entire weekend, and includes the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday Night and the Holiday Market on Sunday (both which are held in the Middleton Park Complex, located at 4610 E Dolphin Drive).
Previously organized by the Oak Island-Southport Chambers of Commerce, the Town of Oak Island became the sole organizer and primary sponsor of the Parade in 2023.
